Her voice, forever.

My mother is facing tongue surgery that will affect her speech. 2daVoz is the project with which I save and rebuild her voice — so she can keep communicating, in her own voice, through a touch-based augmentative communication board (AAC). All of it free, offline and privado: the voice never leaves the house.

Rescue the voice

Speaker separation to isolate her voice from noise and from other people in call recordings, plus a clean reference recording. Acoustic profile and similarity checks using speaker embeddings.

Learn the voice

Fine-tuning a Spanish speech-synthesis model on her voice. Synthesis runs offline on a 4 GB laptop — no cloud, no accounts, not a single second of audio uploaded to the internet.

Speak without a connection

A communication board with word prediction and her synthesised voice on the phone itself, working with no internet. She taps a phrase and it speaks in her voice. The device is already designed.

Validated, in progress.

The method is already proven on a clean recording: the clone reaches “same person” similarity. Quality rises with more data — from roughly 30 to 60 minutes of her voice it comfortably clears the threshold that works for everyday use.

Why offline matters. A person’s voice is about as intimate as it gets. That is why 2daVoz uses no cloud service at all: it is cloned, stored and synthesised at home. That is the design decision, not a technical detail.
